The Convair CV-580, a popular medium haul, medium load transport aircraft in the '60s and '70s, was built with Allison Turboprop engines for increased power, speed, and efficiency over its predecessor, the CV-340. Operated by major and regional airlines until replaced by jets like DC-9 and 737s in the late '70s and early '80s, this aircraft was also utilized by smaller carriers for freight and charter operations well into the 2000s. Despite many now being out of service, some are still operational worldwide. The model, designed near to scale with fully textured features, includes animateable parts such as propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors, available in various formats.
