Available in multiple formats, it replicates the Convair 340 - a popular medium-haul, medium-load transport aircraft for commercial airlines in the '50s and '60s. Operated by major carriers until the mid-'70s, when jets like DC-9 and 737s took over, it was initially built for United Airlines and KLM, extending the CV-240's length and wingspan for improved performance at higher altitudes. Pressurized, the Convair 340 could comfortably accommodate up to 60 passengers. Later used as charter or cargo aircraft.
