The Convair C-131 Samaritan, a military transport produced by Convair from 1954 to 1956, was the military equivalent of the Convair CV-240. This model is nearly full-scale and features animateable elements such as propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, landing gear, and landing gear doors. HC-131A represents surplus C-131As that were transferred to the United States Coast Guard, while VC-131A was a temporary designation used for a C-131A before 1962 when it served as a staff transport.
