The 36G/YB-60 was a project for a jet-powered variant of the B-36, with subsequent versions B-36A and B-36B featuring propellers only. From B-36D onwards, four jet engines were added in pods of two, alongside existing propeller engines. The model boasts detailed paint schemes from actual squadrons and numerous animated features like turbines, flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, retractable landing gear, and landing gear doors. Propellers are also animated. The Convair B-36 "Peacemaker" was a strategic bomber operated solely by the USAF from 1949 to 1959. As the largest mass-produced piston engine aircraft, it held the longest wingspan of any combat aircraft ever made. Operating at long ranges, these loud planes were designed for Soviet targets and had a crew of 13. Their low flights often caused window breaks and plaster cracks. The B-36 was a mainstay of the Strategic Air Command and further gained fame from its role in the Jimmy Stewart movie "Strategic Air Command."
