The B-36A, utilized for training purposes, and B-36B come equipped with propellers solely. Subsequent models, B-36D through final production, incorporated 4 jet engines installed beneath wings in pairs within outer propeller engines. These detailed models feature actual squadron paint schemes along with numerous animateable features such as 4 turbines, flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, retractable landing gear, and landing gear doors. Propellers exhibit animation while textures cover the fully-detailed models. The Convair B-36 "Peacemaker," a strategic bomber by Convair, was operated exclusively by the United States Air Force (USAF) from 1949 to 1959. As the largest mass-produced piston engine aircraft ever made, it boasted the longest wingspan of any combat plane and an extensive range for targeting Soviet Union locations. Crewed by 13 members, these loud aircraft were often employed in overflying Fourth of July celebrations, causing window breakage and plaster cracking when flying too low over buildings. The Strategic Air Command extensively used this aircraft, which gained further popularity through its appearance in the Jimmy Stewart movie "Strategic Air Command." Additionally, a project for a jet-powered, swept wing variant named 36G/YB-60 was initiated.
