My friend's summer challenge was to create a stand that could accommodate both types of controllers - digital and analog. This was my proposed solution. To cater specifically to his needs, I designed the stand with a unique edge profile, but recognizing its potential for wider use, I also included an option to attach it to a flat board using screws. If you have a different edge configuration in mind, feel free to share a sketch in the comments and I'll create a custom shape to match your requirements.
