Controlbox CR10s replacement Noctua fan upgrade
thingiverse
I created this control box case because I wanted to reduce the noise of the control box fan by replacing all original fans with Noctua fans. The original 60mm fan is only 15mm thick, but the Noctua fan (A6X25 PWM) is 25mm thick, making it impossible to close the control box correctly. You'll need to print this case for the control box to fit properly. I designed everything to fit perfectly with the original screws and screws in the Noctua package, so you won't need any new screws. With this download, you'll get: * A control box case * Little feet (that fit perfectly into these legs https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2413227 for the control box) * A fan cover (1.2mm, 3mm, or 4mm thick; choose your preference, but I printed a 1mm fan cover because it fits perfectly and makes the control box completely flat) Note 1: If you replace your stock 60mm fan, you'll invalidate your warranty because you need to remove the yellow warranty label. Note 2: The little feet are slightly larger than the holes. Check out the video in post-printing to see how to fit them perfectly into the holes. You can also add a little glue if you want, but it's not necessary. Note 3: To have good ventilation, you need to remove the metallic cover of the power supply completely, like in my photos. Note 4: You can print this control box case even with your IKEA mirror on the heatbed, but you need to position it perfectly because they have the same dimensions. You'll need to deactivate raft or similar features and position the glass correctly. It might take a few tries, but it's definitely doable.
