Update 6/24/18: New waveshare 4" screen parts are now available and ready for use. Two new options have been added: users can either swap out their current screen with a 4" waveshare or upgrade to the double stack case and use both the 4" waveshare with rpi and reprap screen! I know many of you won't need these modifications, but I've made them for myself, so maybe someone else will find them useful. There's also a place to put the little stylus that comes with the screen, as well as a slot in the side for picam cables. COMING SOON!!! I'm currently installing a waveshare 4" HDMI IPS touchscreen and raspberry pi on my cr-10 and I'll be adding some new parts to my case design. My plan is to create both a singular display module and one for my double stacked case that will allow both the printers graphical screen as well as the raspberrypi and touchscreen. I'm considering doing a pi serial to arduino serial connection, but if it won't work, I'll find another way to get usb to remain internal while still giving access to the pi's ports. Updated: 6/3/18 I've added parts for adding a second psu, upgraded my controls to 24v, and made some other modifications. This meant an expensive upgrade for my heated bed, unless I used my old 12v psu to power the bed. So instead, I printed a separate case. Not completely satisfied with the 4 part case design, I also made a matching bottom for my case to make it easier to wire everything up. Now there are even more options. I changed out nearly every part of my controls. I kept the original psu and that's about it. I started out with an MKS-TFT 3.2 but scrapped it for the reprap full graphic display because it was using too much serial line bandwidth. My new setup has fystech tmc2130 drivers in spi mode, so I needed active cooling for the stepper drivers. This case has dual 40mm fans to do the job. A third 40mm fan is used to cool off the bed mosfet unit, which is the typical no-name black pcb mosfet you find everywhere. I moved the wire inlet hole from the bottom to the top corner for easier wiring. The original psu doesn't line up with the holes in old or new case, and I really didn't care to change that after I got everything else the way I wanted it. I've included 3 different screen designs: the original for the reprap, one that works with the cr10 screen, and one for the mks-tft if anyone needs it. Feel free to mix and match parts from this and the original case design.
