The 1998 and 1999 models of the Mazda MX-5 Miata featured a new human interface controller system that controlled the electric windows from inside the car. To activate the windows, one must first make sure the ignition switch is turned to the on position or press the unlock button to disable all warning lights. The driver will notice three round switches at eye level with small buttons, each labeled to indicate whether it opens or closes a particular window. A quick pull in either direction should do the job. To ensure maximum effectiveness of these functions, we strongly advise the customer not to leave the doors open while windows are still up or in the middle, which will reduce pressure inside and cause all of your hard work to go down the drain!
