Control Box Ender3 MKS GEN L & Raspberry Pi
thingiverse
This is a control box where you can combine an MKS Gen L and a Raspberry Pi 3B+ under the LCD screen panel. I used the same idea as "Ender 3 LCD Cover Octopi Station" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3434509) but put the MKS Gen L together, eliminating external USB ports since everything will be inside the control box. The model consists of three parts to facilitate printing and minimize support requirements. It features four slots for XT60 connectors and two slots for USB connections. To attach the box to the Ender 3 structure, I recommend using "T-nut M3 drop-in rotating 2020 V-Slot" at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3050607. Update (08/08/2019): Enclosure files and Raspberry Pi plate have been revised for better printing and fit. Update (08/11/2019): A new back plate has been added, accommodating two 40x40mm fans and two USB spaces to house Raspberry Pi USB extensions outside the box. This design provides a snug fit with the enclosure and features space for "hinges" on the bottom to accommodate 1.75mm filament. Additionally, XT60 and USB caps have been included to fill gaps. Assembly is straightforward; I've tested it without glue, and it works fine. I welcome all comments to improve this design further. Working and printing successfully.
