Let's start over. This mount is designed with three key objectives in mind: compatibility, sturdiness, and preventing backdraft beside the fan. The design takes into account the 40x40x20 mm fan size for optimal performance. The decision to use a 20 mm depth fan instead of a 10 mm stock fan was made to reduce noise levels while maintaining airflow (cfm). Generally speaking, increasing the fan's depth can lead to quieter operation. The mount allows for a maximum depth of 20 mm, as shown in the installed photo taken from the top of the control box. By blocking the backdraft opening, the air is directed towards the components and the board, improving cooling efficiency.
