Contour HD/Hero Bike Mount
thingiverse
**New Version** I've taken two steps forward with the design. First, I've added a feature that lets you mount a Hero camera to the bike mount. There's a flag called `hero` and another one called `contour` in the data file that helps decide if you're using a Hero camera or a Contour camera on the bike mount. Second, I've made it much easier for this attachment to snap onto the bike frame. Instead of using 4 tiny screws and nuts like before, this design has a hinge on one side and just one screw/nut that makes everything click into place smoothly. This means you can quickly attach and detach from your bicycle with ease. ---- Original text: I have an old [Contour HD camera](http://contour.com/cameras) that I wanted to strap onto the front of my [TerraTrike.](https://www.terratrike.com) It's an older Contour HD camera without a thumbscrew camera mount at the bottom, so it needs the slide-in friction mount to stay in place. But the mount I had would turn the camera on its side, and other mounts required adapters that made the whole thing sit too high. So I created this custom mount. The STL files are designed for use with a 22mm diameter bike handle or mounting pipe, but the OpenSCAD file can be adjusted to fit any bike handlebar size. The mount also sits low: the bottom of the camera is only about 4mm above the handlebar. I've also uploaded the FormLabs form file with an orientation that reduces the number of rafts attached to the inside of the Contour mount. Because of the relatively small dimension of the inside teeth that grip the camera, you may need to fiddle with the dimensions to make them work with your printer. The settings used in this file worked well on my FormLabs Form 2 printer.
With this file you will be able to print Contour HD/Hero Bike Mount with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Contour HD/Hero Bike Mount.
