Contorno recortado de La Garma
sketchfab
This is a one-of-a-kind piece: a bone carving of a goat's head with a carefully cut-out contour. Measuring 6'19 cm in width and 2'35 cm in height, it stands out as a remarkable work of art. Discovered in the La Garma Cave (Zone IV of the lower gallery), located in Omoño, Cantabria, its age has been pinpointed to the Upper Paleolithic period, specifically the Magdalenian era, dating back approximately 14,050 years ago. Today, it is safely stored and showcased for public enjoyment at the Museum of Prehistory and Archeology of Cantabria (MUPAC).
