My apartment boasts long, continuous high windows that seamlessly separate my living room from the bedroom, allowing a little too much light to pass through into both rooms. This standard setup would normally require lengthy curtains, but my window takes an unconventional 90-degree turn, posing a unique challenge. I sought a solution that would enable me to install a single, wide panel that could elegantly sweep around this bend and be discreetly hidden behind the wall when not in use. A traditional track system, commonly used for hospital beds, didn't appeal to me due to its high cost and unappealing aesthetics. Therefore, I designed these custom curtains from scratch. A 1/2-inch EMT (thin-walled electrical conduit), cut into pieces approximately 2-3 feet long, should fit snugly between the specialized holders. To add a touch of ease and sophistication, I plan to use open hook-style shower curtain hooks equipped with rollers. However, these custom designs are still in the conceptual phase and have yet to be printed.
