prusaprinters
This is a simple magnetic doorstop activates when you position the door over it, but otherwise allows the door to function normally. When inactive, it has a low profile, easily allowing a vacuum cleaner or mop over top of it. Bill of Materials3x 15x2mm neodymium magnets (you may be able to get away with 2, but I stacked two of them on top of each other on the latch to increase the strength). Assembly InstructionsOnce printed, carefully pivot the magnetic latch to ensure it moves freely. If the latch is fused, you are probably over-extruding filament (try tuning your extrusion multiplier). Glue magnets in to the latch/door attachment.(Be mindful of the polarity.)Clean mounting surfaces with rubbing alcohol, as well as the spot on the door/floor you intend to mount the door stop. Attach a strong double sided adhesive (I used 3M VHB) to the mounting surfaces.Lightly grease the hinge on the magnetic latch, if needed. Attach the door magnet to the door. Put the magnet low enough so that it will easily trigger the magnetic latch, but not so low as to make contact with the base of the latch.Attach the magnetic latch to the door, and swing the door to the position you want it to latch; Press the magnetic latch in to the floor ensuring it's still aligned to the strongest position of the door magnet.
