Container for Ultrasonic Mist Maker
thingiverse
Those annoying little ultrasonic fog makers are always popping up, aren't they? Awesome right? Well, except for a few major problems - they need 24v and never come with a power supply, spray water everywhere, and you can never find a big enough container to hold the spray. My solution is a nifty little box that blocks spray from escaping but lets fog flow freely. The mister sits at the bottom part which gets filled with water, the cord goes through the tiny hole in the side, and the rubber stopper fits snugly into the hole. The top part sits on top when plugged in, blocking the spray with flaps that hang down, but allowing fog to flow around them out through openings on the other side. The outer edge of the bottom part is raised where the inner edge of the top is raised, letting the two parts fit together nicely and preventing water from dripping down the sides. It's a pretty cool solution and looks cute too - like an ancient relic maybe. You'll have to find your own 24v power supply since they can't be printed yet. There are two versions: the first one is smaller, works fine but doesn't let much fog out; the second one is bigger with larger openings and should allow more fog to escape, also accommodating slightly bigger foggers. Printer Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Supports: No Notes: Your printer should have good enough layer adhesion to keep the final printed part (the bottom at least) water-tight. I haven't had a problem with it, so you should be okay too.
