container (31.5mm inner diameter x 24.15mm inner height)
thingiverse
I remixed the original container to make smaller and then thickened the walls to make sure they were still thick enough to be strong. I printed at 0.28mm layer height and it was a little stiff to work the threads in by hand the first time but smoothed right out after a minute or so of back and forth. The threads work really nicely all the way down with no slop after they have been run in for a minute. It took about an 1.5 hours to print both parts together. I made the original set to contain a stack of (25) 30mm diameter NFC tags which are about 0.9mm in thickness each and it works great for that: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N38MMTT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The 25.9mm height measurement includes the thickness of the bottom plus the inner cylinder height. The actual inside cylinder height dimension is ~24.156mm. Up to exactly 25 tags will fit. -- Update: I added a couple updated and compatible lids with a larger fillet for more comfort. One lid adds a cutout for a tag on the top. Print the new lid with the tag cutout with support touching bedplate. Use superglue to secure the tag to the top of lid. I also included a second similar lid without the tag cutout for general use. I also made a new container base that has a thicker bottom and larger fillet to make it stronger and more comfortable to grip. This new base is a little deeper than the original also and it holds 26 tags. I recommend choosing one of the newer lids and new base from the updated "NFC_Tag_Container..." stl files instead of the original lid/base container pair stl file (which also works but is less comfortable with the smaller fillets). Everything has been printed at 0.28 layer height successfully. It all fits and works excellent. I am very happy with how precise the threads feel once worked in which can be done by hand quickly by turning approximately 1/6 of a turn back and forth in about 30 seconds. Quickly rinse the threads off after working the threads in by hand the initial time to remove any grit. Nothing needed sanding.
