A rare Contact period tobacco pipe bowl is unearthed at a site along the Susquehanna River in Cecil County, Maryland by archaeologist Richard Stearns and the Natural History Society of Maryland in 1943. The artifact is courtesy of the Natural History Society of Maryland which has generously granted permission for its digital model to be freely downloaded for non-commercial educational use.
