The Roman buttress dam of Consuegra is situated in the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha, a location rich in history and architecture. It stands out as one of the longest preserved dams in the entire Roman world, boasting an impressive length of over 600 meters. Built in the vicinity of the ancient Roman city of Consabura, now known as Consuegra, this dam was constructed to supply water to nearby labor fields and possibly protect the city from the powerful floods of the Amarguillo River.
