Constructora Field Car #3 Spanish Civil War 28mm

This is a 28mm model of the Spanish Civil War Constructora Field Car #3. The background image behind the vehicle can be found at http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/spain/constructora-field/. I started with Jarlang's excellent model of the Constructora #2 and scaled it up to 28mm. A new front end was created to represent the distinct design on Car #3, as well as separate wheels that fit into recesses under the hull, and added details such as pistol ports, engine access panels, vision slits, and a rear door. This vehicle was used as an armored personnel carrier and can carry nine men, making it of significant value in a Bolt Action game with its 7+ armor rating. It provides good opportunities for historical force mixing. As noted on the link, at least nine of these cars were built by the Loyalists in Barcelona; note that the ventilation tubes on this model are set into the top of the hull and don't protrude as much as earlier models - each car has its differences, and I did my best to represent it from both English and Spanish language sources. Since they were built on the fly, there are few records post-SCW recounting their manufacture. If using them in gaming the Spanish Civil War, don't limit yourself to using them as a Loyalist AFV; both sides captured and used their opponent's AFVs against them during the conflict.
