Constantin Daicoviciu was a renowned Romanian historian and archaeologist born on March 1, 1898. He passed away on May 27, 1973. During his lifetime, Daicoviciu served as the president of the prestigious Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj and was an esteemed member of the Romanian Academy. The community in the district where he was born proudly bears his name after his death in 1973.
