Console Cup Holder for BMW E90

Note: You will need to do permanent modifications to your console to make this work!!!!!!!! If you are like me and have had a E90 BMW for any length of time you might have asked yourself why did BMW make the worthless cubby into a cup holder. I know you guys with the idrive will be left out on this one but maybe it will help someone. I spent a lot of time and tried many times to get this as close as I could to a factory fit. This will fit into the factory clips console, but it will require trimming the console to fit a proper cup. I modeled this around the Yeti Tumbler and it think it seem to fit mose things well. With something like this you will need to print in a material that can handle the high temperatures of the cars interior. I printed mine in CarbonX which made for a very attractive finish for the BMW interior. I also used support which was a real pain to remove with the CarbonX. I have included the cup holder file and the template to help scribe the console for cutting. I used a dremel cut off to remove the under structure around the cutout then a sanding wheel to match the curve on the cup holder. be sure to take your time and check the fit often. You will also need to trim just about 1mm off the three little supports in the bottom of the console so the cut holder will sit down all the way.
