Hello Community! It's time for my third Printer Overhaul! This time I'm replacing my trusty Renkforce RF100 v1.5, a reliable workhorse that served me well for years. I purchased this printer first and it was incredibly easy to set up - just 15 minutes out of the box and it started printing without any issues or quality problems. The built-in LEDs, acrylic housing, and high-quality electronics components made it a great choice. However, after years of using my Creality Printers, I've come to realize that the RF100 v1.5 has some limitations: * MK10 Extruder * A small build volume of just 10x10x10cm * No heated bed * No part cooling * The MK10 Extruder means no cooled nozzles and a limited range of print options So, what's my plan? I'll be replacing the hotend with an upgraded setup that includes: * The original motor (because it works perfectly on this machine) * An MK8 Hotend with a part cooling fan * The original heating cartridge and sensor The new hotend will either be a Bowden-Style system mounted on the X-Axis or a real Bowden-Style hotend. This design change would improve weight distribution and placement in the machine, but it would also require significant rewiring. A direct-drive hotend would be more original, but it would add complexity to the setup. Either way, the printable area will increase to around 12x12x12cm. I'm considering a third version that's similar to the https://amzn.to/2SR79SU design, but I don't want to sacrifice print volume. Instead, I'll sketch out all my ideas and share updates with you! Stay tuned for more information!
