Connector Toy
thingiverse
January 22 My grandmother recently gave me a box of toys she used while teaching school. One of them was a simple plastic disc with interlocking slots that allows building freeform sculptures. I made a version that can be quickly printed, with thirty fitting easily on the bed of my Prusa i3 clone. The STL file is at the same scale as the original. It would be interesting to see how these worked when scaled up. Update: These worked well at 200% scale. Maybe 400% would be even better. This is for Pittsburgh's Fun a Day, 2017. Print Settings Printer: FolgerTech 2020 Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm Infill: 100% Notes: These are just five layers thick with 0.4mm layers. I printed all of these as solid layers (rectilinear). Printed in PLA.
