Connector for profile 5 20x40 90° with foot M6
thingiverse
The connector takes care of linking up two profiles, each 20x40 with a precise 90-degree angle. It also saves you money on expensive automated connectors and makes the construction remarkably simple. To get one connector up and running, you'll need: Four M5 countersunk screws that are 16 mm long One threaded foot Two M6 nuts I highly recommend purchasing a foot with a steel core, but if you'd rather not do that, I've got a STL file available for download. This design allows for very slight adjustments in the printer's horizontal positioning. Profile 5 features two holes with a diameter of 4.2mm - these are perfect for cutting M5 threads right into place. The foot itself hasn't been printed by me, but I've heard that a similar part has already been successfully printed. When printing this small thread, I'd suggest setting the layer thickness to 0.1 mm and keeping the nozzle at least 0.2 mm away. However, in my opinion, buying a pre-made foot would be the way to go for a much better fit.
