Connector for Hot Wheels track
thingiverse
This is a custom track connector for my son's Hot Wheels racing track, designed to fill in the missing pieces after we snagged it at a toy sale. To make it work, I had to get creative and come up with this replacement myself. The print job was a bit tricky because it has bits sticking out on both sides - top and bottom. To make it easier to print, I suggest using a grid support that's oriented just right so the retaining pin points are facing downwards. Then, you can remove the support relatively cleanly without any fuss. When printing, use a full grid support because the layer above the support is only 1.2mm thick - not much to work with. Print Settings: Printer: JGAURORA A3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Not applicable Notes: Printed in ABS plastic. If you're slicing with Cura or a similar program, I recommend using the "grid" support structure. How I Designed This Track Connector: I designed this custom connector using FreeCAD.
