"connected" Stéthoscope for télé-consultation
thingiverse
Stethoscope adaptable to hands-free kits of smartphones that can be used for remote consultation. It is composed of a bell of a membrane which can be produced with a polycarbonate sheet binding type of a tube of 8mm in diameter and an adapter to clip on the microphone of the headset, an airpod (works with cheap airpods like earbuds). It is also quite possible to put a silicone tip to hear and isolate the ear from outside sounds. The result is excellent but this loses the advantage of sound transmission. This device allows you to hear the heart rate and any abnormalities as well as breathing. It can be printed in FDM but the resin SLA printing provides better acoustics. An application is under development in order to be able to make a videoconference with a doctor, who can thus guide the patient in his own auscultation. So the doctor can hear the heart and lungs and receive the heart rate curve in real time in the form of a graph, save this graph for later use, zoom in etc. and also record the audio of the consultation. The application will be released for free download as soon as possible.
