Conical jam for broken door catch
thingiverse
To fix my broken front door handle, I used my finger to open it temporarily. However, I wanted a more permanent solution. My initial attempt involved a 16mm x 70mm tube with an inside diameter of 10mm, but it didn't fully hold the catch open. Therefore, I created a two-toned cone in OpenSCAD (my first design) that perfectly fit into the catch and kept the door open. The cone was designed for personal use, but I released the files into the public domain for anyone to utilize. Additionally, I uploaded version 2 of the cone, which maintains manifoldness while ensuring constant wall thickness. Constructive feedback on OpenSCAD would be appreciated as I am still learning the software.
