Conic Sections Multi Material
prusaprinters

A single model print that can be used to look at various conic sections. I attempted to print something similar when first testing the palette. Now with the palette+ this becomes more easily possible.

Different colors can be used for the cone segments to strengthen the contrast between areas.

I recommend using clear or translucent colors with 1-2mm walls and no infill on the demonstration sections (circles, porabolas, etc). I've seen some fantastic work done with 0.05mm layers and solid printing of translucents to get near optical clear viewing but I have never been able to test it in multi-extruder and/or multi-material printing.

How I Designed This

Fusion 360

All design work and rendering was done using Autodesk Fusion360.
