Configurable box in 2 pieces

The wife wanted a custom storage box designed specifically to hold her Nespresso cartridges. Since my build plate wasn't large enough, I had to create the box in two separate pieces. To join them seamlessly, I opted for a sliding dovetail joint, although gluing them together was also an option. To ensure a smooth fit, I recommend printing a smaller test box first to get the dimensions of the sliding joint just right. Every 3D printer has unique tolerances that can affect how well two pieces fit together, so it's crucial to account for these differences. I added text to each side of the box as an extra touch, making it a personalized and thoughtful gift. The large size of the box meant that it took over 10 hours to print each half, with some of that time spent due to the slower printing speed required when using PETG filament.
