Confetti-Filled Tree Topper
thingiverse
Personalize your tree with an unforgettable touch using our striking tree topper printed in MakerBot Natural PLA. Add magic to this star-shaped design by printing its eighteen points hollow, then fill them with colorful confetti. To get started, print the individual components with no supports or raft: Print the Base at 10% infill and two shells with a layer height of .2mm. Print the Stand at 5% infill and two shells with a layer height of .2mm. Print eighteen Pyramid elements at zero infill and two shells with a layer height of .2mm. Finally, print the Funnel at 3% infill, two shells, and a layer height of .3mm. At about sixty percent completion, pause printing for each pyramid and insert pinches of confetti through the hollowed points using the funnel. Then, push the confetti downwards into the printed layers with a pen to distribute it evenly throughout the star's structure. Before resuming your print job, be sure to load new filament into the extruder to keep it heated. This step is essential for creating strong and solid prints in the end. Snap the pyramid elements and stand into place on top of the base and glue them securely if necessary.
