Cone for Yarn Winder, small skeins

This cone replaces a standard yarn winder cone for winding balls of yarn where a smaller hole through the center of the ball is desired. I show the cone fitted to its existing base, the base alone, and the base with the stock cone. This allows for swift swapping between the stock cone and this custom cone. The cone features knobs and holes in its fins, making it easy to anchor yarn at the start of the winding process. This replacement cone is designed specifically for use with a Stanwood Needlecraft - Large Metal Yarn Ball Winder 10 oz - Heavy Duty, available from www.stanwoodimports.com. To develop this design, I printed six prototypes, refining and correcting the design until I was satisfied with the final result.
