cone for pusher modified Graupner propeller holder
thingiverse
I modified a Graupner propeller holder extensively, removing the cone entirely and cutting out any unnecessary parts to keep the blades securely attached to the motor shaft. The original holder's shaft was also shortened significantly. To fit my SkySurfer X8 with a pusher position, I created a cone that covers the modified holder and extends to the motor body, ensuring a seamless aerodynamic design. As of February 2019, I noted an issue with the folding propeller potentially folding too much at low speeds, causing balance problems when restarting the motor. To resolve this, I introduced a v2 version of the cone featuring a small protrusion for the folding propeller to bump against, preventing excessive folding. In March 2019, after fine-tuning my SkySurfer and its modifications, I developed a v3 version of the cone. This latest iteration includes a removable plate with two fingers that the propeller can fold against, offering improved performance and stability.
