I modified a Graupner propeller holder extensively, cutting out all unnecessary parts to leave only what was needed to secure the blades on the motor shaft. I also shortened the holder shaft significantly. The cone I created fits perfectly into a pusher position on my SkySurfer X8, covering the holder and extending to the motor body for an aerodynamically seamless compound. February 2nd, 2019: At low speeds, the folding propeller tended to fold down too much, causing issues with motor balance when restarting. This necessitated further modifications. The v2 version of the cone incorporates a small protrusion that prevents the folding propeller from folding too deeply, ensuring smooth takeoffs and landings. March 14th, 2019: After fine-tuning my SkySurfer with its various modifications, I arrived at a v3 version of the cone. This iteration features a removable plate with two fingers for the propeller to fold against, providing even greater stability during flight.
