Conduit bracket
thingiverse
I decided to run some cables along a trailer using a flexible plastic conduit instead of cable ties, since I have access to a 3D printer and can make my own brackets. To avoid drilling holes in the galvanized trailer, I designed the brackets to fit onto an 80mm x 40mm box section. The bracket is specifically made for use with 20mm plastic conduit and uses a small screw and nut to tighten it into place. For this particular design, I used 4mm x 20mm allen head screws. Trailer Cable Conduit Bracket 1: This bracket clamps onto both the box section and the conduit using a single screw. Please see picture 1 and 2 for visual references. Trailer Cable Conduit Bracket 1.1: This design is an alternate view of Bracket #1, making it easier to visualize. Trailer Cable Conduit Bracket 2: Due to the need to run cables over the axle, this bracket angles the conduit upwards while providing a tight push fit into its own slot. The bracket then uses a screw to clamp onto the box section. Trailer Cable Conduit Bracket 3: This design is a mirror image of Bracket 2 and serves for the opposite side of the axle. Please see picture 3, featuring a black bracket. Trailer Cable Conduit Bracket 4: Although initially considered, this bracket was ultimately not used, as it was intended to locate the conduit along the side of the box section.
