I picked up a used BeaverTail Stealth 2000 boat off Craigslist. The custom blind is a $400 option and I figured I could print some bimini type brackets, bend some conduit, and come up with something similar. Brackets should be useful for other projects that need to swing EMT 180 degrees. Instructions Sized for 1/2" EMT, I used 5mm x 30mm bolts and nuts. They should also work with 1 1/4" 10-24 bolts. I printed the first parts in ABS with a 60% infill. Later, I started printing in Nylon and reduced the infill to 30%. These settings seem strong enough for my intended use. The pivot bases might benefit from more material around the pivot holes and captured nuts. This weekend, I plan to install this on my boat and give it a try. If anything breaks, I will tweak the design. Note: The pivot plug fits fairly loose inside the conduit. You can increase by 2-3 percent to get a tighter fit. I plan to drill a hole through the conduit and plug to install with a removable clip. Things to try: I may also try the vapor finish on the ABS parts to increase their strength. Printing with dark green nylon could be an interesting option.
