Conduit and Motor Mount for Drag-Chain for MPCNC Z axis
thingiverse
I needed a way to secure my Drag-Chain to my Z-axis and extend it out to one of my motors. The OD versions are 23.4mm = C, 25mm = F, and 25.4mm = JMotor Clamp. There is only one version available. The two inwards-facing slits on the motor clamp are designed for zip-ties to keep cables and/or the drag-chain in place. A circle-cutout is included to make room for a 10mm screw when fastening the drag-chain. You can access the 3D source files from Autodesk, where you can view them in 3D and download them in your preferred format. The available files include Base Conduit 25mm OD clamp with no mountplate for drag-chain, Conduit 25mm Clamp for Drag-Chain, and Motor Clamp for Drag-Chain. The bill of materials includes various M3 and M4 nuts, screws, or similar parts. To print the motor clamp, use the following settings: Printer - JennyPrinter; Rafts - No; Supports - No; Resolution - 0.25mm; Infill - 25%. Note that using a 0.4mm nozzle with three perimeters is recommended for printing this part. Avoid using higher layer heights than 0.25mm, as it may result in poor quality prints. The part appears to be strong even at 25% infill only. However, cleaning up the motor part can be challenging if you use supports during printing. Be cautious and avoid using support structures on the motor part to prevent this issue.
