When choosing an LED and voltage source, selecting a suitable resistor value will be crucial. For those looking to electroplate their print, connecting to the thick trace at one edge is recommended; this feature is designed to facilitate easy removal of all shorts. If printed on FR4 with 0.5 Oz copper, the resulting circuit board should boast no traces with resistances exceeding 1 Ohm. With low-current LEDs being deemed cheating, the expectation is for all LEDs to illuminate effectively.
