Conductive ABS Potentiometer
cults3d
Slider-Style Linear Potentiometer. Conductive ABS filament was used to print the resistive element. This design still has its flaws, with values fluctuating slightly when adjusting the slider, but it's more reliable than my previous attempts and a significant improvement. However, achieving optimal results is hindered by the very high resistance of conductive ABS filament, which can reach megaohms, and the variation in resistance due to pressure and bending. The orientation of the resistive element during printing plays a crucial role. Increasing the surface area appears to be beneficial, as are springs that help maintain consistent pressure. A useful video demonstrating this concept is available online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaeihVHN1Wo
