Condensate Trap Coaster V5
thingiverse
I'm rebuilding my previous Condensate Trap Coaster design with improved features. The new version has larger pins spaced farther apart and a deeper well, allowing it to hold about 50% more condensate than the V4. From the original release: Cold drinks in warm or humid environments tend to collect condensation on the outside of the glass. This coaster traps the water puddle under the glass. I designed it in Sketchup, and the model is included. The pins are a component arrayed along a spiral path, so you can adjust pin details such as size, shape, and spacing, as well as spiral characteristics. I've also provided a template for attaching feet to the bottom of the coaster to allow stacking and prevent surface contact. Any 1/2" rubber foot should work, but I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JTFPFQ Print Settings: Printer Brand: Zortrax Printer: Zortrax M200 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.09 Infill: Low Notes: Initial prints were made using the new Z-HIPS colors, but I plan to print many more in Z-Ultrat. Post-Printing: No special procedures are required. Peel off the raft and use the template to attach the feet to the bottom of the coaster. How I Designed This: I used Sketchup for design purposes. Plugins employed: Curve Maker Sketchup STL PathCopy
