Normal Maps are a great way to add detail and realism to your models without increasing polygon count. I'm using a diffuse map that's been normal mapped to create the illusion of depth and texture on this object. The specalar map is what gives it that shiny, reflective look, while the displacement map adds some nice height variation to the surface. And let me tell you, the ambocclasion map really makes this model pop - it's like a whole new level of detail has been added! I'm rendering this out with V-Ray, which is one of my favorite renderers for getting that high-end look. I've got the 3Ds Max 2014 version loaded up, and I'll be exporting the final image as an OBJ or FBX file, depending on what the client needs.
