Concrete pot plant
thingiverse
I designed a simple concrete pot, printed with PLA, but it's better if you use "potte part 2" made of flexible material for easier removal. I used plenty of release agent to get it out smoothly. If you use too little, it can be hard to remove, but with enough, you can simply twist the part out. The walls are easy to separate and don't require release agent. I didn't use concrete for casting; instead, I opted for screed for floors. It was incredibly easy to mix and pour into the 3D printed parts, resulting in a smooth finish without bubbles. To create this project, you'll need: * Two copies of "potte part 1 v1" * One copy of "potte part 2" I provided two versions of part 2: flat-headed, where the plant fits snugly inside but is difficult to remove, and round-headed, which is easier to take out but doesn't fit as well. If I were to redo this project, I would choose version 2. After casting, I applied "Hey'di sealer waterproofer" to the interior where the plant resides to prevent water from running through. I also dipped the cast in paint and placed cork paper underneath to protect it from scratches.
