Prepare both the inner and outer template for the planter by using 3D prints or alternative materials such as wood or clay. First, take a Mayku Cast sheet from the pack and peel off the protective film from the top of the sheet. Dispose of this film in household recycling. Next, place the sheet in the FormBox and start heating the plastic until it begins to ripple at the edges and droop in the middle. Carefully place the outer template on the centre of the vacuum plate. As the plastic continues to heat up, form the template with the Mayku Cast Sheet by allowing it to cool completely. Then, use a safety pin to make a small hole that will aid in removing the template easily. To create the mold for the inner template, repeat the same process used earlier to make the outer template. Once you have both molds, use scissors to trim any excess material from the inner mold, leaving a lip around the edge. Seal the holes made earlier with tape and mark a line 2/3 up the outer mold. Fill this line with ready-mix concrete and insert the inner mold into the outer mold, securing it with more tape. Allow the mixture to set overnight in a cool, dry place. After 24 hours, carefully twist and pull the inner mold out of the planter. Remove the tape covering the hole made earlier and leave the planter to cure for another 48 hours. To achieve a smooth surface on top of the planter, rub it gently against a sheet of coarse sandpaper placed on a flat surface. This will help to create a finished look for your newly created planter.
