This captivating sculpture showcases a woman masterfully playing the harp, likely drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of Greek mythology. She could very well be Euterpe, one of nine revered Mousai, goddesses whose domains encompassed music, song, and dance. In ancient times, when the Mousai were designated specific areas of influence in literature and art, Euterpe was appointed Muse of lyric poetry. Often, these divine muses were depicted playing the harp or lyre with elegance and poise.
