Concerned Movie Tickets - Plane Tilings

Concerned Movie Tickets Ari Jaff 09/12/2022 George Mason University Math 401: Mathematics Through 3D Printing. This print is a plane tiling with the p2 tiling set. The tiles themselves represent movie tickets with rigid edges that connect together. There are three punctures in the tiles with a larger hole in the middle and two above the middle one. This makes it look like a "concerned face" as mentioned in the title. The printer I used for this print was the Creality Ender 3 Pro. The print took approximately 13.5 hours to complete. The temperature was set to 220° Celsius. I used a brim raft as the adhesion support. The print was set to a 15% cubic infill. In order to design the plane tiling, I used a specific method when coding in OpenSCAD. I began with a square tile, and started adding indents to the left side. Knowing the exact measurements of those indents, I did the exact same thing to the right side of the tile but adding it instead of indenting. Then, using a translation on the same row, I connected the tiles with a very small offset. In order to make it a p2 type tiling, I used a 180° rotation for the row below, and repeated the same translations. Why didn’t the ticket get convicted of both crimes? It could only admit one!
