This innovative refrigerator design features gas-powered bar ice creation, eliminating the need for electricity. Inside the wooden cabinet, a plastic container holds bar or break ice, which can be manually or automatically replenished. The wood-constructed fridge keeps the ice cold for approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks before draining and refilling the water supply. This continuous process ensures consistent cooling and longer ice life. The water is non-potable, but is still safe for drinking when purified. Traditional metal linings are replaced with oiled wood and waxed wood, and food storage involves vacuum-sealed items rather than conventional refrigerator use.
