This is a base of a vessel showing clear signs of concentric striations caused by a wire as it was removed from the potter's wheel. The original vessel was created using the wheel-coiling method as described by Roux-Courty in 1998, and can be viewed below. View our blog post on wheel coiling here A step-by-step forming video is available on YouTube. Technical specifications are listed below: The vessel was scanned with a David SLS-3 scanner. A specific part of the vessel with the relevant striation(s) was then extracted using 3D modeling software Maxon Cinema4D, enlarged three times, and exported to .STL format.
