I was enjoying the Satisfying Hexgons by the-lazy-engineer (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/satisfying-hexagons), and wanted to use it as a coaster. And while I was at it, I wanted to be able to do pentagons and other non-hexagon shapes. And really just make it configurable. This little project has an openscad file you can use to create many options, including really large ones, covered versions, squares, triangles, pentagons, octagons, whatever. Almost everything is configurable, but maybe that is too much. So there are a few "standard" configurations you can start with. bezel.stl, case.stl ,and shapes.stl are all part of a standard hexagon. bezel_5.stl, case_5.stl, and shapes_5.stl are for a pentagon. bezel_r.stl, etc are for a hexagon where all the corners are rounded. Everything is optional of course, but the idea is the case is the basic box the shapes fit in, and the bezel holds a plastic window the goes on top. If you go into the scad file, you can adjust the size and width of the concentric shapes, the size of everything, the size of the magnets (I am targeting 6 mmx2mm round ones), the number of magnets (I use 2, but maybe you just want 1 big one). There are loads of possibilities if you get into it.
