Concentric Circles for Calibration
thingiverse
A highly adaptable component generates concentric rings (open-ended) cylindrical shapes for calibrating and fine-tuning wall thickness and uniformity. All my prints, especially circular ones, exhibited a "Mushrooming Base" issue where the wall material was pulled away from layer 2 up to approximately 5mm. To address this problem, I created this customizable OpenSCAD file for conducting tests. You can select Cylinders or Bases that will keep them connected and test eccentricity levels. This example also demonstrates how to create simple, modular, and highly adaptable parts in OpenSCAD. 2018.05.07 New Base and OpenSCAD files have been uploaded, centering the Base Slot Gap instead of simply adding it to the inside of the slot.
With this file you will be able to print Concentric Circles for Calibration with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Concentric Circles for Calibration.
