Many tops use a concave glass mirror to spin on. I decided to make my own using OpenSCAD. I printed at 0.08mm layer height and scaled x and y to 50% in Cura slicer making a 3.5 inch diameter. I also used 25% cubic infil with 8 layers top and bottom and 3 wall line count. It is a 7" diameter by default and 5.5mm high at the outer edge. This is the OpenSCAD code I used to create this:

$fn=700;

difference(){

cylinder(r=88.9,h=5.5);

translate([0,0,801])

{

sphere(800);

}

}

The top shown in the picture (which is a good match for the plate when x and y are scaled to 50%) is "InceptionTopFinalSm.stl" from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:23686

The picture shows Cura slicer scaling at x=50%, y=50%, z=100% and it works but to print it again I would scale the Z axis a little bit taller (Z=110% perhaps) to more reliably spin the top at max speed without hopping off the plate. It it pretty cool to see the top quickly run around the edge of the plate in circles.

Enjoy!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 5

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.08

Infill:

25%

Filament: eSun PLA+ PLA+ white

Category: Toy & Game Accessories
